Child safety standards
Omegler (omegler.app and the Android app "Omegler - Video Chat") is a random video chat for adults only, published by White Label Solutions LTD, 8th Floor, Ebene Tower, 52 Cybercity, Ebene, Republic of Mauritius. This page describes our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
1. Zero tolerance
Any form of child sexual exploitation or abuse is strictly forbidden on Omegler: child sexual abuse material, soliciting or grooming a minor, sextortion, content sexualising minors, and any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes. Any account involved is permanently banned and reported to the authorities.
2. Forbidden under 18
- Omegler is forbidden to people under 18. The age is asked before using the chat and minors are refused.
- The app is rated for an adult audience on Google Play.
- An account whose user appears to be a minor is suspended, then deleted.
3. Reporting in the app
During every conversation, the Report button (flag) lets you report the other person, including for the reason "Looks under 18" or "Nudity or sexual content". The report ends the conversation, the reported person is not proposed to you again, and a still image of their camera is kept so that moderation can check the report.
You can also write to us at any time at contact@omegler.app or through the Support form of the app (Account menu).
4. Moderation
- Reports are reviewed by the moderation team of White Label Solutions LTD, those about minors first.
- An account reported by several people is suspended automatically until it is checked.
- Bans apply to the account and the device, to prevent signing up again.
- Moderators can take still images of a user's camera to check a behaviour. These images are only visible to moderation and deleted after 30 days, unless they must be kept for the authorities.
5. Reporting to the authorities
When we become aware of child sexual abuse material or of a situation putting a child at risk, we ban the account, keep the available evidence and report it to the competent authorities, including the PHAROS platform in France (where our servers are hosted), NCMEC (CyberTipline) and the police of the Republic of Mauritius, and we cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.
If a child is in immediate danger, first contact the emergency services of your country (112 in Europe, 911 in the US). You can also report content to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org.
